The first complete ownership pathway
Young people are already making. The next step is moving production locally.
Oonchiumpa and Goods on Country have moved beyond a hypothetical model. Young people have built Stretch Beds, local teams have led delivery into the homelands, and Oonchiumpa has developed a federal submission for a community-controlled production facility in Alice Springs.

What happened
The first value stayed with the builders
Every young person who built a bed kept one. The first thing the activity produced was theirs.
The pathway can become a workforce
The proposed facility connects local production, practical experience, contracts and an agreed transition toward community control.
